Feed
I truly believe that at the rate we are going in this world, that we will soon actually be just as they were in Feed. All of us programmed with chips, that give us unlimited knowledge. This will cause a certain decrease the amount of people having their own thoughts. If everyone is programmed the same way, there will be no opinions, no creative thoughts, and as a result of trying the make the people of the world smarter, in turn we will be dumbed down.

It's true that technology has, undeniably, made life much better for us. This question will continue to be raised, throughout the course, however, given the nature of our reading. When will we say enough is enough? Is it even possible for us to draw the line? I'm not sure.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great way to put it. I am an art major and without our thoughts we can make art. I would hate to see a world like that.
ReplyDeleteI do not think that we will ever say enough is enough. We are so focused on having the next best technology that we cannot foucs on anything else. I agree with you that we will become dumbed down because of our intent to beocme smarter.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree. We want everything to be faster and every gadet must have every feature created. Soon we wont have to worry about carrying around our phones or ipods. Everything will be located in our bodies. We wont have to worry about losing anything. In a instant we will be listening to our favorite song while checking our facebook all in our head.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you in the fact that the world will soon be just like that in Feed if we continue to rely on technology. We need to do something about our use of technology before our lives are totally conrtolled by the "feed".
ReplyDeleteI agree with you in the fact that with feeds we lose the ability to "think" for ourselves. It's important that we realize who we are as individuals and never lose the sense of self being.
